Aims and Demands:
To master the Simple Present Tense.
Main Points:
1.The Simple Present Tense.
2.Some using expressions.
Difficult Points:
The using of “ like…very much”,
“ like…a litlle”.
“ not like…at all
Step1.Revision
1).Get the student on duty to make a duty report and talk about himself
and have a tiny dialogue with his classmates, aiming at reviewing “I
like…”.and “Do you like…?”
2).A: Get several Ss to say two food or drinks or fruits or vegetables
words each.
( Please look at the screen. Show some food, drinks ,fruits and vegetables.)
B:Make some dialogues like this:
A).I like apples. Do you like them?
B).Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
Step2.Presntation
1).Get the Ss to ask you questions about you like and dislike of food or
drinks or fruits or vegetables.In your answers “a little”, “very much”
and “not…at all” are used alternately.
2).Get the Ss to read after you “I don’t like it at all.”
3).Write “I don’t like it at all” on the Bb.
Step3.Practice
1).Get individual Ss to answer your guestions using “not…at all”.
2).Ask the Ss to practise in pairs using “a little”, “very much” and “not…
at all”.
3).Get the Ss to chain-drill.The dialogue may go like:
S1: Do you like orange?
S2: Yes, I do. I like it very much. ( To S3 ) What about you?
S3: No, I don’t . I don’t like it at all .( To S4 ) Do you like bananas?
S4: ….
4).A: Ask the Ss to open their books at P41 and look at Part 1.
B: Get the class to practice asking-and-answering in pairs.
C: Get several pairs to present their dialogues about Part 1
Step4. Presentation
1). Play the tape for Part 2.
( Please look at screen . Show the second picture.)
2): Answer the questions to according to the picture.
3): Get the Ss to talk about the picture.
4): Ask again “Does she like milk / eggs…?”
A: Write “ She likes bananas a lot” on the Bb after the Ss give the answer
and explain that “a lot” means “very much”. Get them repeat after you
the phrase.
B: Write on the Bb “ does she like bananas?” and “ Yes, she does. / No, she
doesn’t.” Get the Ss to repeat after you the affirmative and negative
answers.
Step5. Practice
1): Ask the Ss to practice asking-and-answering in pairs.
2): Get several pairs to present their question-and-answer.
3): Get the Ss to open their books and read Part 2 chorus.
Step6. Presentation
Explain in Chinese the third person singular form of verbs. Call the Ss
Attention to the formation of general questions with the third person singular
and the short forms for answers, affirmative and negative.
Step7. Practice
1): Ask the Ss to practise Part 3 in pairs.
2): Get several pairs to read aloud Part 3.
Step8. Consolidation
1). Say something with the third person singular in it and the Ss to it correctly and
promptly by saying “ You’re wrong” or “ You’re right”. For instance,
T: Does she likes..?
Ss: You’re wrong.
T: Does she like bananas?
Ss: You’re right.
Step9. Consolidation
1) Ak the Ss to open their Wbs do Ex.2 in pairs orally.
2) Get several pairs to demonstrate how they do Ex.2
Step10. Homework
1). Do Ex.1 in the exercise book and finish Ex.3 in the Wb.
2). Learn the Part 2 of Lesson 97.
