the farther one or the farthest one?
Step 3 Pre_read
Turn off the light in the classroom. Then have the students close their eyes. Tell the students“ you are going to make a picnic in your mind. Think you are on an island with many trees. The wind is blowing and you hear the sea hit the beach. It seems funny and you hear strange noise. You are alone. ”
( Use the computer to play all kinds of sounds such as the sound of
wind and water etc.)
Give the students a few minutes of silence to thoroughly imagine themselves on the island. Now ask them to open their eyes and their partners discuss the questions. Then call out some students to give their answer ( Pictures are shown on the screen.)
1)Did you like to go to strange places? Why or why not?
2)How do you feel when you are alone somewhere? Are you afraid?
