I.                   Revision 

1.      Greeting        

Class begins. Good morning boys and girls.

(Get them to answer “Good morning teacher.”)

Ask some students the daily questions:

Who`s on duty today?

What day is it today?

What`s the date today?

2.      Revise the sports words.

What`s your favourite sport?

Is swimming your favourite sport?

   3. Show some pictures of sports and have the students talk about them.

II.  Presentation

1.      Draw some pictures on the blackboard.

Teach the phrases: play basketball/ football/ volleyball ride a bike,  fly a kite, sing a song, swim and skate

2.      Play “Polly says” game with the verbs.

a)        Polly says “ jump”.

b)        Jump

c)        Polly say “sit down”.

     Teach the Imperatives.

   3. Explain “want a go” “like this” “throw a yo-yo”

     Make some imperative sentences.                                                                                         

Then read the text in part 1.

   4. Teach the usage of “can” with the pictures on the blackboard. Draw the faces     can                       

can`t .

Ask the question. Can you throw a yo-yo?

Help them answer. Yes, I can. It`s easy.  / No, I can`t. It`s hard.

III.             Drill

    1. SB Page 17 Part 1

Read the dialogue in pairs.

2. SB Page 90, Wb lesson 78. Ex1.

Read the dialogues in pairs.

IV.             Practice

Have the students ask: Can you swim? And answer: Yes, I can. No, I can`t.
