Teaching material : JBI  Unit 21   Lesson  83
Teaching style :   A new  Lesson 
Teaching methods : Listening , reading , asking and answering
Teaching aids : CAI and some real objects .
Teaching aims and demands : 1. Learn the following new words and phrase.
                          talk , talk with ,open , close , take photos . 
                        2. The negative form of the present continuous tense .
                        3. Use the present continuous tense.
The important points : 1. The new words and expressions of four skills .
                  2. The train the students’ ability of using the present continuous tense.
The difficult points : The students can use the present continuous tense .
Teaching procedures :
Ⅰ: Revision :
1.       Call some pairs of students to act some dialogues
2.       Showing them some real pictures . let them ask and answer  it  in pairs .
The teacher will give them an example .
T:  What’s the children doing ?
S:  They’re making a plane .
T:  Are they making a plane ?
S:  Yes , they are .
As to the other four pictures . Let  the students ask and answer freely .
Ⅱ. Presentation :
1.  Introduce the negative form of the present continuous tense.
T: Now please listen to me . Look at this picture , The twins are playing computer games .They are not watching TV . Now you are listening to me . You are not playing   games .
Then show them six pictures and talk about the pictures
T: Look at the pictures . What’s she doing ?
She is flying a kite , Is she flying a kite ?
Yes ,she is . What is he doing ?
He is thinking . Is he thinking ? Yes ,he is .
  Is he flying a kite ? No ,he isn’t.
He isn’t flying a kite .
Then let the students ask and answer the other pictures  in pairs .
2.  Using the picture about to practise the selective question form of the present continuous tense .
T: Is she flying a kite or thinking ?
S: She is flying a kite .
T: Are they playing cards or riding a bike ?
S: They are …
T: Are they running or sleeping ?
S: They are …
Let them ask and answer in pairs .
3. Learn some new words and phrases .
A: Showing them a real picture
T: Look at the picture , What are they doing ? Do you know ?
Then  help them answer like this .
T: They are talking . Han Mei is talking with Lucy .
Write down “talk . talk with ”on the blackboard . ask them  to read and spell it several times.
B: Showing them a model house with a door , teach them the word
“open and close” 
T: What am I doing ?
S: You are opening the door .
Then write “open ”on the Bb.
T: What am I doing now ?
I’m closing the door .
Then write “close”on the Bb .
C: Teach take out a real camera and presend I’m going to take  photos.
Then write down “take photos” on the blackboard . Read them
Several times.
4. Showing them the four pictures of the Book Lesson 83 .First talk  about the pictures freely .
Then listen to the tape and find the right pictures.
The third ,ask the to open their books and read after the tape.then let them to talk about the four pictures.
  Ⅲ. Consolidation :
Showing them a picture and try to ask and answer .
First the teacher ask .the students answer .then call some pairs act it.
Ask them the practise in pairs .
The teacher gives them some help if they need . They may use the following .
What’s the boy /girl …doing ?
Is he /she … ?
What are the men /women  …doing?
Are they …?
Are they …or…? etc
Ⅳ.Read and chant.
1.  Play the tape .Have the students listen for the rhythm and  reduced speech.
2.       Play the tape agin and have the students repeat.
  Ⅴ. Summary
Call some students to sum up this lesson .
Ⅵ.Homework:
1.  Finish off your WB.
2.       Write a short passage .
此处出示五幅真实的图画,分别描述人物正在做的五个真实的动作,借这真实的画面复习学过的句型,让学生们用现在进行时态进行问答,起到了复习旧知识的作用,更重要的是为动作创设了真实的环境,学生会感兴趣,更会动口操练。
 
 
 
 
 
此处出示六幅图片,分别为人物放风筝、思考、打扑克、骑自行车、跑步和睡觉的内容。利用这些图片学生能训练现在进行时的否定句。因为这些图片给学生提供了直观、清晰的感官材料,会收到很好的训练效果。
 
 
 
 
此处仍用上面的六幅图片。
 
此处出示一个真实的两个小女孩说话的画面,教授talk 一词,学生容易理解,一目了然,形象,直观。
 
 
此处出示一个带门的模型房子,通过开门,关门等直观的动作,教授open , close 一词形象、直观的展示动作,给学生留下深刻的印象。
 
出示真相机做出给学生拍照状,教学生“拍照”词组,学生会兴趣盎然,问答自如。
此处出示四幅图片,利用图片让学生自由问答,训练听力,检验学生能否使用现在进行时态流利表达,达到熟能生巧的效果。用录音机放四句话,学生听音后选择正确图片,采用闪动边框的效果,学生找出图片后,边框闪动。
此处出示一幅彩图,图上内容清晰,颜色鲜艳,给学生耳目一新的感觉。
出示CAI课件上一个钟的画面,用此钟计时,学生以组为单位展开竞赛,看哪组获胜。这样将竞争机制引入课堂,既活跃了课堂气氛,又使学生流利地进行口语表达。
此处为CAI中所用chant一段的内容,通过边说边唱学生训练了现在进行时的句子的各种语调,学生会感兴趣,而且新颖独特的内容会使学习得到艺术美的享受
