Teaching methods: Take use of the object tools . For example: pen , books , knife and so on .
Learning methods: 1. Read , ask and think.
2. Discuss some questions.
Teaching Steps
Step 1 Revision
Now retell the story in lesson 62 in pairs.
Step 2 Read and think
1. Read the dialogue in part 1.
2. Asking the meaning of the word “cut “.
3. Asking some students to explain can and may.
Step 3 Presentation
1.I can not find my pen. I know ! It may be in my pocket! No , it is not . It may be on the floor! No, it is not. It may be in my desk! Oh yes, here it is!
2.Asking the students where the object may be .
3.Explain maybe (adverb) and may be.
Step 4 Drill (divide the class into two groups A and B )
T: pen A: I can not find my pen.
T:desk B:It may be in your desk.
T: coat A: I can not find my coat.
T: room B:It may be in your room.
T: shoes A: I can not find my shoes.
T: room B: They may be in your room.
Step 5 Practice
1.Teaching the new words .

Step 6 Presentation (play both parts )
T: Jim , what are you going to do when you are older ?
J: I am not sure . May be sell computer.
When you can not know something quite clearly, you can say “I am not sure”.
Asking some students “ what are you going to do when you are older ?
Practise in pairs.
Step 7 Read the dialogue together, then work in pairs.
Step 8 Finish off the exercises
