Step1. Greetings and duty report.
Get the Ss on duty to tell a story about planting trees.
Step2. Reading
1).Look at the picture.What are the women doing?(They're planting trees.)
Why are they planting trees? Can you guess? (To grow a new forest.)
2).Today we're going to read some village people. They decided to grow some new trees. Let's find out why.(To keep the soil from being carried away and people
can have wood for firewood).Read the passage and answer this question: What
has changed in the past few years?
3).Draw two columns on the Bb.Allow the Ss several minutes to read the
passage and then collect the answers:
In the past:

b. people walked a long way to fetch wood

Today:
a.forest programme b.plant thousands of trees
